BSUC ANNOUNCES FIRST “FAMILY CHRISTIAN PARADE”IN DOWNTOWN

CHICAGO, IL – The Brothers and Sisters United for Christ (BSUC) Foundation, officially announces Chicago’s first “Family Christian Parade” in downtown in an effort to bring unity and reach the community. Chicago’s Christian parade will take place on June 21, 2008 between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Columbus and Balbo.

BSUC is reaching out through partnerships with churches, nonprofit organizations and other businesses to host a parade that gives back to the community as organizations will be distributing school supplies, cds, tracks and other items to the public for free! BSUC is seeking partners and donors that look for opportunities to be part of a parade that gives back to the community in a variety of ways. The parade will feature drum line groups, dancers, school bands, motorcycles, low riders with a variety of floats, clowns and bands. Guest Grand Marshall still to come! Everett Gutierrez, the President of the organization says, “Through this parade brothers and sisters from walks of life can come together to celebrate community, as churches and organizations seek to give back, letting Chicagoland know that we are here to help!” The parade, “Family Christian Parade,” seeks to break barriers among Christian churches by bringing unity among various Christian denominations in conjunction with organizations that simply have a heart to give back to the community.

BSUC was founded in 2005 as a faith based organization, as it has dedicated itself to the mission of serving as a liaison to local churches and organizations by providing the tools and training, which are essential in reaching out to our communities. BSUC creates opportunities for community service and outreach, capacity building and leadership development. Through participation in activities and programs, which provide a sense of belonging and mutual cooperation, the foundation seeks to better the quality of life for program participants and improve the general condition of their communities through civic participation. BSUC is asking all Christians and non-Christians alike to come out and participate in this historic event as they embark on another endeavor to give back to the city of Chicago. We invite everyone to attend, as the parade is free and open to the public. For more information visit us at www.bsucfoundation.org.
