Narnia Coming to Chicago

On behalf of the Mission America Coalition, we want to invite you to consider the fantastic ministry opportunity presented by the release of the live-action movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, in theaters nationwide on Friday, December 9, 2005.

In up to 150 of our top cities in America we are working to convene church leaders interested in collaborative outreach for what we are calling "Narnia Sneak Peeks". We are inviting you to serve with us as the host convener in your city for a 90 minute gathering in either September or October 2005.

At the Narnia Sneak Peek events, pastors, youth ministers/workers, children's ministers, denominational leaders, para-ministry leaders and Christian educators will come together in your area to "peek" at some of the movie, learn about some of the great outreach/evangelism opportunities and receive a variety of free materials. (Visit: www.narniaresources.com for some basic details of available resources.)

Millions of people around the world have enjoyed C.S. Lewis' seven book series. Now Walden Media and Walt Disney Pictures are releasing the first book in the series as a live-action film. They have engaged Weta, the same computer animators who were engaged in the film production of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

If you are interested in hosting a Narnia Sneak Peek event in your area:

Join with other city leaders on one of three national conference calls later this month to get more details and some special web site privileges. The dates and times are:
Tuesday, July 26th at 9:00 a.m. (central time)
Thursday, July 28th at 3:00 p.m. (central time)
Friday, July 29th at 1:00 p.m. (central time)

Please email narnia@missionamerica.org to RSVP for one of these calls and indicate your interest. You will be sent the conference call number and code once you RSVP.

Should you become a convener for this event, we would rely on you to determine the location, date and time for this leadership event in your city. Material would be shipped to that location to be distributed to all those attending. To complete an application for host convener visit: www.missionamerica.gospelcom.net/narnia/narnia_app.htm

We hope the Lord will allow you to co-labor with us in this ministry effort. We plan to call you in the next several days to follow up, if we do not hear from you before then.

RECENT "MORNING STAR" ALBUM BY PHIL MITCHELL CONVEYS MESSAGE OF HOPE TO AMERICANS WITH MEANINGFUL MUSIC

CHICAGO, IL - August 4, 2005 - The release of a new album, "Morning Star", unlocks startling truths for listeners while examining the rise and fall of American patriotism.

"Morning Star", released by Phil Mitchell, focuses on bringing
Americans back to the state of unity that once bound the nation
together. The album reminds listeners that when the founding fathers first came to America, they united despite their differences to fight for liberty, and the freedoms Americans enjoy today are a direct result. They had a strong faith in God, which is lacking in many families today. That's why Mitchell felt compelled to develop the "Morning Star" album.

Mitchell has been a composer/musician for twenty years, and "Morning Star" is his third CD. Mitchell has authored a book which focuses on the journey to the heart (finding peace and happiness in your life). Mitchell's album is exciting, while also helping to bring peace to an unpeaceful world. His poem "A Land Will...Shine Free" helps to define freedom in our society and reminds us that we need to pull together.

Mitchell's goal is to encourage Americans through his album to get
back to a caring society and to once again be willing as individuals
to go the extra mile for America and fellow citizens.

The album is stirring parents and grandparents to consider what their children will face, and urges individuals and communities to unite in providing a better future for children.

"I see a new and bright light shining across this nation. I see a
happy George Washington smiling at a peaceful nation reflected by the press. I see God happy at the path that has been laid before us. Asking all to come forward. I see many people pulling together," states Mitchell.

The "Morning Star" album is already being enjoyed by many pastors, veterans, retirees and families who are deeply concerned about future generations. The album has encouraged others to seek healing from destructive effects of the weather, a broken relationship, or just trying to find God.
